A lot of people have been asking, why all the celebrating? Finally, we can share the news. This Could Be HUGE! in the last month has experienced tremendous growth, and we aren’t talking about growth as our product being the best online dating product online. No, we are talking about growth as in visitors users our the site. Thanks to loyal users like you, in the last month we have recored a growth of 1,690.30%. You read that correctly, ThisCouldBeHUGE.com has had 1,690.30% growth month over month. We are all thrilled that our analytic tools verify what we have been hearing from the community and that we get to keep building the biggest and best online dating site the internet has ever seen.

Beside our expolsive growth, we’ve also released some impressive product updates:

This Could Be HUGE! Answers has been rebranded to This Could Be HUGE! Advice. This has been done to allow the This CouldBe HUGE! Advice brand to support not only a Question & Answer based form but, also feature expert relationship & dating advice and tip articles.
This Could Be HUGE! Advice also allows Questions & Articles to be crossed tag, making relevant information even more accessible.
We’ve fixed your average share of bugs, many of which reported by our loyal users, like you! So Thank you!
We’ve also restructured our Landing URLs for cities like Phoenix Singles, Tempe Singles, and Scottsdale singles to keep everything friendly to our users and the Google Bot.
Lastly, we’ve added a This Could Be HUGE! Weekly Digest email that users will receive weekly letting them know how many profile views they’ve had, the number of people who added them as a fan, the number of points they’ve earned, and new singles that joined the site in the past 7 days. Of course, if you aren’t interested in this data, you can’t opt out at anytime!

We have a lot more features being worked on now that I wish I could talk about, but I can’t. We are also working on adding search functionality to all of the portals, and hope to have that rolled out in the coming weeks.

Today we moved the blog off Tumblr’s domain to blog.thiscouldbehuge.com. We hope this doesn’t cause any inconvenience for any of our loyal single online dating fans. We did this in a move to simplify our domain structure and clean things up. We still love Tumblr and will continue to use their free platform for the blog. Thanks Tumlbr!

Status Updates - Hits the Online Dating Singles Scene

Everyone at This Could Be HUGE! is thrilled to announce that Status Updates have been released on the site. This Could Be HUGE! is the first free online dating site and dating site in general to allow users to provide the dating and single community with status updates.

You’re probably asking, what are status updates? Status updates are a short (140 character max) update on what you are currently doing. This allows you to login, update your status as “on a hot date” leave the computer and allow all your friends and contacts to know what you’re up to. Another example of a great status update is “BRB @ the Gym.” This status update allows your contacts to know where you are and that’ll you probably be back in about an hour.

Here are some other great examples of Status Updates:

Looking for a Date Friday night in Scottsdale
Having dinner with the Girls by ASU
At the Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall
Going for a bike ride along the Arizona Canal

Why I created ThisCouldBeHUGE.com

This Could Be HUGE! was created after I realized that all dating sites in the market whether they be paid or unpaid were all simply copying each other. This fact can hardly be argued since the vast majority of online dating sites use the same chat platform provided by Userplane. The drawback of Userplane’s platform is not only that the software is slow and inefficient but that it requires a popup window. In my opinion not only should popup windows not be used but the term shouldn’t even be spoken of in this day of age.

This provided an opportunity to build a dating site around features that have been growing in popularity on sites such as MySpace and Facebook. This Could Be HUGE! not only has an integrated chat system which doesn’t require popups but other features like a chat history log, which no other online dating sites provide.

The ThisCouldBeHUGE.com Online Dating team believes that by building a fast loading dating site around features that have been proven on sites like Facebook and MySpace we will be creating a new and improved site for singles.
